Bunga Citra Lestari
Bunga Citra Lestari, affectionately known as BCL, was born on March 22, 1983, in Jakarta, Indonesia. She comes from a rich cultural heritage, being the daughter of Muchlis Rusli and Emmy Sjarif, who are of Minangkabau descent from Galuang in West Sumatra. Her father served at Bank Indonesia, while her mother practiced as a dentist.
BCL embarked on her professional journey in the entertainment realm as a model and soap opera actress, eventually making a successful transition into music with the release of several hit albums. Her talent also extends to acting, where she has featured in numerous well-regarded films.
In 2025, BCL tied the knot with Tiko Aryawardhana. A recent video featuring their lighthearted discussion about instant noodles sparked public interest, particularly when BCL expressed her surprise about her husband’s unfamiliarity with the combination of instant noodles and rice.
Previously, BCL was married to Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair, who sadly passed away in 2020. Recently, she was visibly moved during a performance of the song "Selamat Jalan Kekasih" by a contestant on Indonesian Idol, which led many to believe she was reflecting on the memories of her late husband.
