Sarah Harding
Sarah Nicole Harding (17 November 1981 – 5 September 2021) was a talented English singer, model, and actress who gained widespread recognition in late 2002 after auditioning for the ITV reality show, Popstars: The Rivals. Her success led to her becoming a member of the iconic girl group, Girls Aloud. The group made an indelible mark on the UK music scene, achieving an impressive twenty consecutive top ten singles, including four that topped the charts. They released six studio albums, all certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), with two reaching number one. Their hit "The Promise" earned them the BRIT Award for Best Single in 2009 and garnered five BRIT nominations overall.
During a hiatus from the group, Harding explored acting, landing roles in various films, including Bad Day, Freefall, Run for Your Wife, and St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold, for which she also contributed three solo tracks to the soundtrack. In addition to her acting career, she modeled for Ultimo lingerie. In 2012, Harding reunited with Girls Aloud to mark their tenth anniversary, but the group announced their split in early 2013. In 2015, she made a brief appearance on Coronation Street and released her debut extended play, Threads. Sarah Harding became a household name when she won Celebrity Big Brother 20 in 2017, showcasing her multifaceted talent and enduring appeal.
