Catherine Ashton

Catherine Margaret Ashton, Baroness Ashton of Upholland, GCMG, PC, is a prominent British Labour politician renowned for her influential role in European diplomacy. She held the esteemed position of High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and served as the First Vice President of the European Commission during the Barroso Commission from 2009 until 2014.

Ashton made history as the first person to hold the role of High Representative, where she was pivotal in shaping the European Union's foreign policy and security strategy.
