Alex Etel
Alexander Nathan Etel is a former English actor celebrated for his compelling performances in film and television. He made his mark in the industry with his impressive debut as Damian Cunningham in the 2004 family film *Millions*, directed by the acclaimed Danny Boyle. Following this success, Etel took on the lead role in *The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep* (2007), directed by Jay Russell. This enchanting tale, inspired by a story from Dick King-Smith, revolves around a young boy who befriends a mythical sea creature. The film premiered in North America on Christmas Day and was later released internationally, showcasing stunning visuals shot in New Zealand, despite its Scottish WWII setting.
In addition to his film work, Etel showcased his talent on television as the spirited Harry Gregson in the BBC and WGBH adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell's *Cranford*, which aired in late 2007. His performance alongside a stellar cast, including Judi Dench and Imelda Staunton, left a lasting impression on audiences, leading him to reprise his role in the sequel, *Return to Cranford*.
As of now, Etel is set to appear in two upcoming projects: *From Time to Time*, an adaptation of *The Chimneys of Green Knowe* directed by Julian Fellowes, and *Easter Sixteen*, which takes place in Dublin during the pivotal Easter Rising of 1916.
