Ulla Sallert

Ulla Sonja Sallert, originally born Andersson, was a distinguished Swedish actress and singer whose career spanned several decades. She completed her studies at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in 1943 and made her cinematic debut in Börje Larsson's film "Det är min musik" in 1942. Sallert's theatrical journey began in 1944 at the Oscarsteatern in Stockholm, where she captivated audiences with her performance in the operetta "Serenade."

During the 1950s, Ulla Sallert emerged as one of Sweden's leading talents in operetta and musical theatre, known for her powerful voice and engaging stage presence. Her remarkable contributions to the world of performance were highlighted when she became part of the original cast of "Ben Franklin in Paris," a musical that ran from 1964 to 1965. Notably, the character Diane de Vobrillac was specifically created for her, showcasing her exceptional talent.
