Jess Conrad, born Gerald Arthur James on February 24, 1936, in Brixton, London, is an English actor and singer whose popularity peaked during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Known for his catchy tunes, he scored several hits during this era, including "Cherry Pie," "This Pullover," "Mystery Girl," and "Pretty Jenny." His musical career saw him collaborating with major record labels such as Decca, Columbia, Pye President, and EMI.

In addition to his music, Conrad made a notable impact in film, appearing in several cult classics. His film credits include uncredited roles in Serious Charge, and appearances in The Boys, Rag Doll (1960), Kill 1, and Konga.
