Noel Trevarthen (January 10, 1938 - December 3, 1999) was a talented actor from New Zealand who made significant contributions to film and television during his career. In his youth, he relocated to the UK, where he appeared in numerous British films and television series throughout the 1960s. His noteworthy credits from this period include roles in classic shows like Dixon of Dock Green and The Saint, as well as a part in The Vengeance of Fu Manchu (1967). Trevarthen even had an uncredited appearance in The Beatles' iconic film, A Hard Day's Night (1964).

After a successful start in the UK, he made his way to Australia, where he continued to build his acting career while returning to the UK intermittently until the mid-1970s. In Australia, he starred in popular series such as The Sullivans, The Young Doctors, and Chopper Squad. He gained wider recognition as Jeff Archer in The Restless Years (1977-79) and later portrayed Gerard Kent in Carson's Law (1983-84). Prior to his role in the long-running series Home and Away, Trevarthen played Malcolm Clarke in Neighbours. His impressive resume also includes guest appearances in A Country Practice, GP, Rafferty's Rules, and the fantasy series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Young Hercules.
