Shila Vosough Ommi is a multifaceted American talent known for her work as an actress, director, writer, and producer. Born in Tehran, Iran, she spent her formative years in Los Angeles, where she developed a passion for the performing arts. Over the course of her career, Shila has directed and produced several award-winning plays in Los Angeles and, for more than ten years, toured internationally with an Iranian-American theater company, performing in Persian under the name Shila Vosough.

Shila made her mark in film with her directorial debut, "Wake Up Sleeping Beauty," a psychological drama exploring the journey of a young Iranian-American woman as she breaks free from cultural constraints and discovers her own strength. The film was produced with support from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.

An alumna of UCLA, Shila earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Anthropology, graduating with Departmental Honors while minoring in Biology. Her academic work includes a published thesis focusing on parental investment among vervet monkeys. Furthering her artistic education, she trained at the Ruskin School of Acting, studying under notable figures such as John Ruskin and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

In addition to her theatrical and film work, Shila is an engaging emcee for charity events, hosts award ceremonies, and occasionally performs stand-up comedy. She is also a talented voice-over artist, lending her voice to documentaries and various animated series.
