Sharon Washington

Sharon Washington is a distinguished American playwright and actress, known for her impactful work across stage, television, film, and voice acting. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama and her Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.

Washington's career began in soap operas, most notably with her role in the 1996 season of "One Life to Live" and a recurring part in the mini-series "Heaven & Earth: North & South, Book III." Her television credits are extensive, featuring guest appearances in series like "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" and "Madam Secretary," as well as recurring roles in "For Life," "City On A Hill," "Gotham," and "Law & Order: SVU," among others. She has also lent her voice to numerous commercials and narrated documentaries for networks such as Animal Planet and National Geographic.
