Liu Hailong, a prominent figure in Chinese Sanshou kickboxing, gained significant recognition in 2000 when he triumphed in the first-ever King of Sanda tournament. Not only did he secure victory in his own weight division, but he also showcased his exceptional skills by winning a demanding one-night open weight round robin competition, defeating larger opponents along the way. This remarkable achievement earned him the esteemed title of Sanda "King of Kings," solidifying his status as one of China's top combat sports athletes.

Liu's dynamic fighting style and engaging personality have made him a household name in the realm of martial arts. However, his career faced a setback in 2005 when he sustained an injury that led to his retirement from professional competition. Despite this challenge, Liu's passion for the sport never waned.
