Lee Oakes
Lee Oakes, born in 1974, is a talented English actor renowned for his memorable performances in British television. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Munch Wilkinson in the much-loved comedy series *Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps*. Oakes is also known for his role as Kev, a builder and close friend of the main character Jimmy Venables, in the sitcom *After You've Gone*.
Hailing from Haslington, a village near Crewe in Cheshire, Oakes honed his craft at Sandbach School for Boys and was an active participant in the Chester Gateway Youth Theatre. His early experiences laid the groundwork for his future success in the entertainment industry.
Oakes's career flourished at the BBC, where he showcased his acting range in productions like the highly praised *Once Upon a Time in Wigan* and *Sparkleshark* at the National Theatre. Beyond television, he has appeared in several notable films, including *DragonHeart* and *Daylight*, as well as in popular TV dramas such as *Casualty*, *Holby City*, *The Bill*, *Coronation Street*, *Heartbeat*, *Emmerdale*, and *Blue Murder*. In 2009, he took on a significant role in the crime thriller *Harry Brown*, portraying the character Dean.
In 2012, Oakes expanded his repertoire by appearing in the music video for Hadouken!'s track "Parasite," further demonstrating his versatility as a performer.
