Tony Cervone
Tony Cervone is a seasoned animation professional with an impressive 25-year tenure in the industry, recognized as a prominent authority on the Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tunes franchises under Warner Bros. Animation.
Cervone kicked off his career in Chicago, where he contributed as an animator and storyboard artist to Steven Spielberg's beloved series, Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs. His journey led him to the Warner Bros. lot in 1994, where he animated the theatrical short Carrotblanca. He soon rose to the position of Director of Animation for the groundbreaking film Space Jam.
Teaming up with Spike Brandt, Cervone produced and created numerous acclaimed television series, including the Emmy-winning Duck Dodgers, The Looney Tunes Show, and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. His directorial talents extended to several popular feature-length videos, such as Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare and Scooby-Doo! And KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery, which have delighted audiences of all ages.
In addition to his television work, Cervone produced six theatrical shorts, including Daffy's Rhapsody and I Tawt I Taw A Puddy Tat, the latter of which marked a milestone as the first time Looney Tunes characters were rendered in computer animation, utilizing the final recordings of the legendary Mel Blanc. Notably, he also produced Joe Barbera's last Tom and Jerry theatrical short, further solidifying his legacy in animation history.
