Ron Smith

Ron Smith is a talented animator, voice actor, and director who has made significant contributions to Big Idea, the studio renowned for its beloved children's programming. As the sixth employee to join the company, Smith played a pivotal role in the creation and development of the acclaimed series VeggieTales, where his creative input helped shape its unique storytelling style. Additionally, he served as a director for the animated series 3-2-1 Penguins!, further showcasing his versatility in the animation industry.

Throughout his career, Smith has continued to evolve alongside the animation landscape. Even after Big Idea relocated to Franklin, Tennessee, he remained a dedicated member of the team while also collaborating with other prestigious animation studios, including Walt Disney Animation Studios, Sony Pictures Animation, and Blue Sky Studios. His extensive experience in the field culminated in his production role for VeggieTales Live! Sing Yourself Silly, marking one of his last credited projects with Big Idea.
