Nikki Yanofsky
Nicole Rachel "Nikki" Yanofsky, born on February 8, 1994, in Montreal, Quebec, is a distinguished Canadian jazz-pop vocalist renowned for her remarkable contributions to music. Her career took flight when she performed the CTV Olympic theme song, "I Believe," which became notable during the 2010 Winter Olympics, reaching number one on the Canadian Hot 100 and achieving quadruple platinum status.
Raised in a close-knit Jewish family, Nikki graduated from St. George's School and began her musical journey at a young age. In 2007, she made history as the youngest artist to record for Verve Records with her rendition of "Air Mail Special," featured on the tribute album We All Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song.
Yanofsky's debut live album, Ella...Of Thee I Swing, was released in 2008 and garnered her two Juno Award nominations the following year, marking her as a rising talent in the jazz genre. Her first studio album, Nikki, came out in 2010, showcasing her original compositions and collaborations with notable artists like Phil Ramone, Jesse Harris, and Feist.
