She began her journey in the entertainment industry with guest appearances in several popular television series, including *Route 66*, *The Man from U.N.C.L.E.*, and *The Wild Wild West*. Her film credits include roles in *The Big Mouth* (1967), *Fever Heat* (1968), *The Comic* (1969), and *Electra Glide in Blue* (1973). Notably, she also featured in an episode of the classic Western series *The Virginian*.

Riley gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Billie Jo Bradley in the beloved CBS sitcom *Petticoat Junction*, where she starred during its first two seasons from 1963 to 1965.
