Matt Prokop

Matthew Ray Prokop, born on July 29, 1990, is a former American actor best recognized for his performances in popular Disney projects. He gained prominence for his role as Jimmie "The Rocket Man" Zara in *High School Musical 3: Senior Year* (2008) and portrayed Josh Rosen in the Disney Channel Original Movie *Geek Charming* (2011).

Prokop's acting career commenced with a cameo on *Hannah Montana* in 2007, followed by a minor role on *The Office.* He made guest appearances on the series *Medium* in 2009 and took on a role in *Furry Vengeance* (2010), where he played Brendan Fraser's son. His work in *Geek Charming* showcased his talent and was based on Robin Palmer's novel.

In 2012, he appeared in an episode of *Modern Family*, acting alongside his then-girlfriend, Sarah Hyland. His final film credit was in *April Apocalypse* (2013), which was one of three films he starred in with Hyland.

Despite his early success, Prokop's career took a downturn after his breakup with Hyland in August 2014, which led to allegations of abuse and a subsequent restraining order against him. Following a series of legal troubles, including arrests for aggravated assault and possession of child pornography, he has remained out of the entertainment industry since. Prokop's last known legal issues saw him incarcerated without bond.
