Robbie Coltrane
Robbie Coltrane, born Anthony Robert McMillan on March 30, 1950, in Rutherglen, Scotland, was a celebrated actor and comedian renowned for his versatile performances across film and television. He achieved global fame for his portrayal of the beloved half-giant Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter franchise from 2001 to 2011. Additionally, he captivated audiences as the charming Russian agent Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in the James Bond films, *GoldenEye* (1995) and *The World Is Not Enough* (1999).
Coltrane's illustrious career began in the early 1980s, where he showcased his comedic talent alongside Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, and Emma Thompson in the sketch show *Alfresco* (1983-1984). He garnered critical acclaim in 1987 for his role in the BBC miniseries *Tutti Frutti*, earning his first BAFTA nomination for Best Actor. His portrayal of the brilliant but troubled criminal psychologist Dr. Eddie "Fitz" Fitzgerald in the ITV series *Cracker* (1993-2006) solidified his status as a leading actor, earning him BAFTA Awards for Best Actor three years in a row from 1994 to 1996.
