Emilio Echevarría
Emilio Echevarría (July 3, 1944 - January 5, 2025) was a celebrated Mexican actor, hailing from Mexico City. He embarked on his acting journey in 1978, becoming an integral part of the Constitution of Art and Society. Echevarría trained with the esteemed theater group Circo, Maroma y Teatro, where he learned from notable figures like José Luis Ibáñez, Otto Minera, and Dimitrio Sarrás.
His film career commenced with "A Crucial Day for Ausencio Paredes" in 1987, followed by appearances in notable films such as "Intimidad" (1989), "Ana's Steps" (1991), "Novia que te ver" (1994), and "Preludio" (1999). He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of El Chivo in Alejandro González Iñárritu's acclaimed film "Amores Perros" (2000), catapulting him into the spotlight and making him one of the most sought-after actors in the industry.
