Ruth Jones
Ruth Alexandra Elisabeth Jones, born on September 22, 1966, is a prominent Welsh actress, comedian, writer, and producer. She gained widespread recognition for co-writing and co-starring in the beloved BBC sitcom *Gavin & Stacey*, which aired from 2007 to 2010 and returned for special episodes in 2019 and 2024. Her outstanding performance in the show earned her the BAFTA Award for Best Female Comedy Performance in 2025.
In addition to her work on *Gavin & Stacey*, Ruth co-created and starred in the Sky One comedy-drama *Stella*, which ran from 2012 to 2017. Her talents were acknowledged with nominations for both the BAFTA Award for Best Female Comedy Performance and the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Screenwriter for her work on the series.
