Lisa Welch, born on November 11, 1960, in Aberdeen, Maryland, had a nomadic upbringing as an Army child, eventually settling in San Francisco, California. Demonstrating early academic prowess, she graduated from high school ahead of her peers and pursued a degree in fashion retailing at the University of Marin.
Welch gained widespread recognition as the Playmate of the Month for the September 1980 edition of "Playboy," a role that catapulted her into the spotlight. Following her success in modeling, she ventured into acting, where she made her mark with a series of memorable performances. Notably, she appeared as a vestal virgin in the Mel Brooks comedy "History of the World: Part I" (1981) and took on the role of the haughty sorority girl "Suzy" in the cult classic "Revenge of the Nerds" (1984).
