John Moschitta Jr.
John Moschitta Jr., affectionately known as "Motormouth," was born on August 6, 1954. He is an American character actor, spokesperson, and singer renowned for his astonishingly quick speech. Moschitta gained fame for his role as "The Micro Machines Man," appearing in more than 100 commercials, and he notably starred in a classic 1981 advertisement for FedEx.
His vocal talents extended beyond commercials; he lent his voice to the character Blurr in the animated film The Transformers: The Movie (1986) and reprised this role in the subsequent series The Transformers (1986–1987), as well as Transformers: Animated (2008–2009) and two direct-to-video features.
Moschitta's extraordinary ability to communicate at breakneck speed earned him recognition in The Guinness Book of World Records as the World's Fastest Talker, with a remarkable record of articulating 586 words per minute. Although this record was surpassed in 1990 and again in 1995 by others, Moschitta has expressed skepticism regarding the authenticity of those claims, maintaining his place in the spotlight of rapid speech.
Throughout his career, Moschitta has not only entertained audiences but also left an indelible mark on advertising and animation, showcasing his unique talent and versatility in the entertainment industry.
