Andrey Ivchenko
Andrey Ivchenko hails from Kharkiv, Ukraine, where his passion for film and television ignited from a young age. Embracing his dream of becoming an actor, he immersed himself in high school theater programs, quickly discovering his talent for memorizing lines and commanding the stage.
At 18, Andrey enlisted in the U.S.S.R. military, serving for two years before pursuing higher education. He earned a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, but recognizing the limited opportunities for a film career in Ukraine, he ventured to Europe. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Toronto, Canada, where he became a citizen and seized the chance to dive into the vibrant film and television scene. Almost immediately, he signed with an agent and secured roles in well-known productions such as "Falling Skies," "Nikita," and "The Transporter" series. His breakthrough came in 2011 with a leading role in the Lionsgate film "The Way Of The West," followed by a significant part in the 2014 feature "Freezer" alongside Dylan McDermott.
After achieving success in Canada, Andrey moved to Los Angeles about nine years ago, where he continued to build his portfolio. He is best known for portraying Grigori, the Russian Terminator, in Season 3 of Netflix's "Stranger Things," and for his role as the villain Red Erik in "xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage." His impressive credits also include a recurring role on Starz's "Counterpart" and a guest appearance on "Lucifer." Recently, he starred opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in "Darkness Of Man" and is set to feature in "The Best Man," slated for release by Saban Films in early 2023.
