Alexa PenaVega

Alexa Ellesse PenaVega, born on August 27, 1988, in Miami, Florida, is a multifaceted American actress, singer, and pianist. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Carmen Cortez in the beloved Spy Kids film series and showcased her versatility as Shilo Wallace in the cult classic Repo! The Genetic Opera. In 2009, she starred as Ruby Gallagher in the ABC Family series Ruby & The Rockits, further cementing her status in the entertainment industry.

Raised in a creative family, Alexa is the daughter of a Colombian father and former model Gina Rue. She is the middle child among seven siblings, which includes her half-sister Margaux Vega and actress sister Makenzie Vega. At the age of four, her family relocated to California, where her career began to flourish.

Alexa's personal life has been as dynamic as her career. She married film producer Sean Covel on October 10, 2010, but they divorced in July 2012.
