Safia Nolin

Safia Nolin, born in Quebec City in 1992, displayed a passion for music from a very young age. At just two years old, she delighted her neighbors with impromptu performances using a toy guitar around her apartment complex's pool. Driven by a desire to pursue a music career, Safia began teaching herself to play the guitar at 17, using a second-hand instrument gifted by her older brother.

In 2012, she penned her first original song, "Igloo," inspired by her neighborhood of Limoilou. This track earned her the prestigious SOCAN Best Song Award at the 44th Festival International de la Chanson de Granby, establishing her as a promising new talent in the music scene.

Safia's debut album, "Limoilou," was released on February 19, 2015, featuring 13 folk-inspired tracks that captivated both fans and critics. Her unique sound and heartfelt lyrics quickly garnered attention, solidifying her place in the Canadian music landscape.
