Lauren Sowa

Lauren Sowa is a talented actor and filmmaker based in New York City, known for her dynamic performances and commitment to impactful storytelling. Her acting credits include appearances in popular television series such as FBI on CBS and HBO's The Plot Against America, along with her role in the cult horror film Terrifier 3. In addition to these, she has showcased her talent in films like The Rainbow Experiment on Paramount+, The Devil's Well available on Amazon Prime, and Paris is in Harlem, which premiered at Slamdance in 2022.

Sowa is an alumna of the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where she earned her BFA. She is an active member of several industry organizations, including BAFTA, The Television Academy, Actor's Equity, and SAG-AFTRA.

In her pursuit of inclusive storytelling, Lauren co-founded Form & Pressure Films, a production company focused on meaningful narratives. Their inaugural project, Marisol, received the HuffPost Impact Award in 2019 and was licensed by HBO. She has also produced various other films that have garnered attention on platforms like DUST, Tubi, and Amazon Prime, as well as at international film festivals. Notable festival appearances include the Austin Film Festival, Slamdance, NEWFEST, and the San Diego Latino Film Festival, among others, cementing her reputation in the film industry.
