Len Wein
Leonard Norman Wein (June 12, 1948 – September 10, 2017) was a prominent American comic book writer and editor celebrated for his significant contributions to the comic book industry. He is perhaps best recognized for co-creating two iconic characters: Swamp Thing for DC Comics and Wolverine for Marvel Comics. Wein played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Marvel superhero team, the X-Men, where he co-created beloved characters such as Nightcrawler, Storm, and Colossus.
In addition to his creative work, Wein served as an editor for the groundbreaking DC miniseries Watchmen, which was penned by writer Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. This landmark series is often cited as one of the most influential works in the graphic novel medium.
Throughout his career, Wein received numerous accolades for his contributions to comics.
