Maria Camila Pérez

María Camila Pérez, a talented actress hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, embarked on her artistic journey in musical theater with the renowned company MISI during her formative years. Seeking to refine her skills, she ventured to the United States, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Minnesota State University, Mankato. While at university, she participated in the prestigious Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, earning accolades as the best Classical Actress in her region's semifinal round.

During her time in Minnesota, Pérez showcased her versatility on stage, portraying iconic characters such as Helen Keller in *The Miracle Worker*, Nina in *Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike*, and Edith in *Blithe Spirit*. Additionally, she had the privilege of being part of the ensemble cast in the acclaimed Guthrie Theatre production of *King Lear*.

Upon returning to Colombia, Pérez focused on developing her on-screen career. She contributed as a dancer in several MISI musicals, including *Simplemente Navidad*, and took on the lead role in the Bogotá Anglo Theatre's adaptation of *The Turn of the Screw*. Currently, she is set to make her film debut as Cherry Holly, the lead character in the anticipated movie *Diavlo*, directed by David Bohorquez. With her impressive background, Pérez is poised to make a significant impact in the film industry.
