Edward Finlay

Edward Finlay, affectionately known as Eddie or Eduardo, was born and raised in Miami, Florida, as a first-generation American to Cuban parents who sought refuge in the United States during the political upheaval of the late 1950s. He is the eldest of four siblings, with two brothers and a sister, and his heritage is a rich blend of Spanish and Scottish roots. Growing up, Eddie found himself captivated by film, often watching classics with his family. Iconic series such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and the Superman films featuring Christopher Reeve sparked his imagination and nurtured his aspiration to become an actor and artist.

Eddie attended Christopher Columbus High School in South Florida, where he enjoyed various sports but initially had no involvement in theater. His trajectory changed dramatically when he was encouraged to audition for the lead role of Bud Stamper in the play "Splendor in the Grass" at Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, the sister school’s theater program. Securing the role ignited a passion within him, allowing him to discover the thrill of performance and the art of storytelling. This pivotal experience solidified his commitment to pursuing a career in acting, setting him on a path to fulfill his artistic dreams.
