Abhinaya is an accomplished Indian actress and model, renowned for her remarkable performances despite being both hearing and speech impaired. She made her cinematic debut in the critically acclaimed film Naadodigal in 2009, which served as a launching pad for her career. Director Samuthirakani discovered her through an advertisement agency's portfolio, and her portrayal in Naadodigal garnered significant attention, leading to her casting in both the Telugu remake, Shambo Shiva Shambo, and the Kannada adaptation, Hudugaru. For her outstanding work in these films, Abhinaya was honored with two Filmfare Awards.

Following her early success, she appeared in Easan in 2010, directed by Sasikumar, and in 2011, she was signed by A. R. Murugadoss for a supporting role alongside Suriya in 7aam Arivu. The year 2012 marked a significant milestone as she featured in three Telugu films, portraying pivotal roles in Dammu and Dhamarukam, as well as a Muslim character in Genius. Although her lead role in Chandrudu was delayed, she continued to work in ensemble casts, appearing in Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013) and the Tamil films Veeram (2014) and Poojai.

After a brief hiatus, she made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with R. Balki's Shamitabh. Currently, she is set to appear in upcoming projects such as Vizhithiru, where she plays a radio jockey, and Mela Thalam, further showcasing her versatility as an artist.
