Ralph James
Ralph James Torrez (November 29, 1924 – March 14, 1992) was a notable American voice and character actor based in Los Angeles County, California. Renowned for his work in animation, James lent his voice to various characters for the iconic Looney Tunes series. However, he is perhaps best remembered for his role as Mr. Turtle in the beloved Tootsie Pop commercials that captivated audiences throughout the 1970s.
From 1978 to 1982, Ralph voiced Orson, the boss of Mork from Ork, played by the legendary Robin Williams, in the live-action sitcom Mork & Mindy, which was a spin-off of Happy Days. His talent extended to providing character voiceovers for the charming Pink Panther cartoon shorts, further showcasing his versatility in the realm of voice acting.
James's contributions to the entertainment industry left a lasting impression, with his memorable characters continuing to resonate with fans.
