Taeyeon

Kim Tae-yeon, born on March 9, 1989, is a prominent South Korean singer and actress, best recognized as a member of the iconic girl group Girls' Generation. From a young age, Taeyeon discovered her passion for singing and pursued it fervently. During her middle school years, she began taking vocal lessons at a school associated with the renowned S.M. Entertainment. In 2004, she won a talent competition, which led to a contract with the agency. After extensive training, she debuted with Girls' Generation in 2007.

The group's breakthrough came with the hit single "Gee" in 2009, which catapulted them to fame in South Korea and helped them gain traction in Japan and the United States. As the group's popularity soared, Taeyeon emerged as a standout member, frequently appearing in television specials and performances. She also participated in side projects, including TTS, a sub-unit with fellow members Tiffany and Seohyun, established in 2012, and S.M. the Ballad, a vocal ensemble focusing on ballads, in 2014.

Taeyeon's solo career took off in 2015 with her debut EP, I, which became one of the year's best-selling albums. In February 2017, she released her first full-length solo album, My Voice, followed by a holiday album, This Christmas - Winter Is Coming. Her second studio album, Purpose, launched in October 2019, featured the popular track "Four Seasons" and achieved significant success on various charts. In December 2020, she released her fourth EP, What Do I Call You, further solidifying her status in the music industry.
