Pranav Mohanlal, born on July 13, 1990, is a prominent Indian actor known for his work in the Malayalam film industry. He is the son of renowned actor Mohanlal and began his acting journey at a young age, debuting as a child artist in the film Onnaman (2002). His remarkable performance in Punarjani (2003) earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist, showcasing his early talent.
After pursuing a degree in Philosophy at the University of New South Wales in Australia, Pranav returned to the film industry, initially stepping behind the scenes as an assistant director. He collaborated with director Jeethu Joseph on acclaimed projects such as Papanasam (2015) and Life of Josutty (2015).
Pranav made his leading role debut in the action-thriller Aadhi (2018), also directed by Jeethu Joseph, which turned out to be a box office hit. He is recognized for performing his own stunts and maintaining a private life away from the public eye, allowing him to focus on carefully chosen roles. His subsequent films include Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu (2019), the epic Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (2021), and the romantic drama Hridayam (2022). In addition to acting, Pranav is a talented playback singer, contributing his voice to the soundtrack of Aadhi among other films.
