Jalaluddin Hassan

Dato' Jalaluddin Hassan, born on February 18, 1954, is a prominent figure in the Malaysian entertainment industry, celebrated for his work as an actor and as the host of the Malay version of the popular quiz show, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.

His illustrious career has seen him engage audiences with his charismatic presence and exceptional hosting skills, showcasing his versatility within the realm of television and film. In recognition of his contributions to the arts, Jalaluddin was honored with the Darjah Kebesaran Tuanku Jaafar (DKTJ), a prestigious title that elevates him to "Datuk," awarded by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Ja'afar, during his birthday celebrations in 2007.

The third child in a family of distinguished individuals, Jalaluddin comes from a lineage of excellence; his father, Tan Sri Haji Hassan Azhari, was a respected Koran teacher. His elder brother, Tan Sri Musa Hassan, served as the Inspector General of Police, while another brother, Dato' Fuad Hassan, has held significant political roles, including that of an assemblyman in Ulu Klang and currently as the Director General of the Special Affairs Department (JASA) within the Ministry of Information.
