Marjorie Mars

Marjorie Mars began her artistic journey as a stage performer, predominantly gracing the West End of London. She made her debut on September 18, 1920, as a student in The Winter Garden, located in Camden. Mars continued to captivate audiences for many years, with one of her final theatrical performances occurring in January 1946, where she portrayed Vera Kurton in The Third Visitor at the Granville Theatre in Walham Green. Following this period, she transitioned primarily into television and radio roles, remaining active in the entertainment industry until her retirement in the late 1950s.

Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, Mars took on various roles in low-budget UK films, with her most notable performance being that of Mary Norton in Brief Encounter. Her contributions to both stage and screen helped to establish her as a respected figure in the arts.
