Danielle Andrea Harris, born on June 1, 1977, is a renowned American actress celebrated for her significant contributions to the horror genre, earning her the title of "scream queen." Her most notable performances include her portrayal of Jamie Lloyd in the Halloween franchise, appearing in Halloween 4 and Halloween 5 (1988-1989) and later as Annie Brackett in the 2007 Halloween remake and its sequel (2009). Harris has also made memorable appearances in Urban Legend (1998) as Tosh, Belle in Stake Land (2010), and Marybeth Dunston in the Hatchet series (2010-2017). In recognition of her impact on horror cinema, she was inducted into the Fangoria Hall of Fame in 2012.

Harris's journey in the entertainment industry began as a child actress, with early roles in films such as Marked for Death (1990), Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead (1991), The Last Boy Scout (1991), Free Willy (1993), and Daylight (1996). Additionally, she showcased her vocal talents as Debbie Thornberry in the Nickelodeon animated series The Wild Thornberrys (1998-2004), as well as in its film adaptations, The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) and Rugrats Go Wild (2003).

In 2013, Harris expanded her creative repertoire by making her feature directorial debut with the horror film Among Friends. She had previously directed a segment called Madison in the anthology film Prank (2008) and a short film associated with Stake Land in 2010.
