His professional journey began at Leo Burnett from 2006 to 2007, where he worked as a graphic and animation designer. He then honed his expertise as a brand specialist at Zain from 2007 to 2009, enhancing his technical and artistic capabilities.
In February 2014, Malik founded Myrkott Animation Studio, where he took on the role of Chief Creative Officer until July 2024. Under his leadership, the studio produced a range of innovative animated projects that reflected his distinctive artistic style. A landmark achievement occurred in September 2020 when Myrkott entered a five-year exclusive partnership with Netflix to create Saudi content.
Malik's versatility extends to voice acting, with notable performances in popular series such as *Masameer County*, *Masameer: The Movie* on Netflix, and *Ya’rob*.
The year 2023 marked a significant milestone as he directed his first live-action film, *Ras B Ras*, which premiered on Netflix on August 3 and garnered critical acclaim, showcasing his ability to transition from animation to cinematic direction.
