Tala Ashe
Tala Ashe, born in Tehran, Iran, made her way to the United States as an infant, settling in Powell, Ohio, near Columbus. Growing up, she actively engaged in her high school’s theater scene, taking on roles as both an actress and director, which sparked her passion for performing arts.
Ashe pursued her education in the field of drama, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University School of Drama. Her training continued internationally at the Academy of Music and Drama in London, and she honed her comedic skills at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City.
Throughout her career, Ashe has graced numerous regional and Off-Broadway stages, showcasing her versatility as a performer. She made her film debut in 2008 with a role as Nadia in "Waiting in Beijing." Her television credits include guest appearances on popular series such as "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "30 Rock," and "Covert Affairs." Notably, she had recurring parts in "Smash" and "American Odyssey," and was part of the cast of the iconic soap opera "As the World Turns." Her most prominent role came in 2017 when she joined the main cast of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," portraying the character Zari Tomaz, further solidifying her status in the entertainment industry.
