Peta Sergeant, an accomplished actress of Australian-Malaysian descent, was born in 1981 in Malaysia and later grew up in Brisbane, Australia. Originally aspiring to be a marine biologist during her high school years, her passion for drama led her to audition for the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), where she was accepted and graduated in 2000 at the age of 20.

Early in her career, Peta made waves in the entertainment industry by securing various television roles and even producing a play shortly after finishing her studies. However, she chose to step away from acting for eighteen months to travel abroad, a journey that deepened her dedication to her craft.

Peta has a rich portfolio of television appearances, including notable roles in the British science-fiction series Jeopardy and the Australian dramas Headland, Last Man Standing, All Saints, Canal Road, and Satisfaction. Her film credits feature performances in Iron Sky and Crawlspace.

In 2020, she lent her voice to the character Terisa Kerrill in the acclaimed video game Star Wars: Squadrons. The following year, Peta joined the cast of Supergirl, portraying the character Nyxly, a fifth-dimensional imp that parallels the antics of Mr. Mxyzptlk, previously played by Peter Gadiot and later by Thomas Lennon. Peta Sergeant continues to captivate audiences with her versatile performances and dedication to the arts.
