Liu Chunyan

Liu Chunyan, also recognized by her stage name Jin Gui Zi (金龟子), was born on August 20, 1966, in Beijing. She is an accomplished actress and voice actress affiliated with China Central Television (CCTV), having graduated from the prestigious Communication University of China.

Since 1991, Liu has been the charming host of the children's program "Windmill," where she has created beloved characters like Littlefoot, Scarab, and Mr. Jin, earning the affection of young audiences across the nation. Her talents were further recognized in 1993 when she transitioned to the youth department, taking on roles as both a director and host. Throughout her career, she has hosted various popular shows, including "Smart House," "Dolls Leading One," and "Windmill Mystery Society," which began airing in 2001.

Liu's contributions to broadcasting have not gone unnoticed; she was awarded the silver medal at the 4th "Golden Microphone Award" in 1999. Her excellence in hosting was further acknowledged in 2011 when she received the prestigious "China Broadcasting and Hosting Golden Microphone Award."

On January 28, 2015, Liu Chunyan lent her voice to "Yang Yang," the mascot for the Year of the Sheep Gala, showcasing her versatility in the world of entertainment. Her enduring impact on children's programming and broadcasting continues to resonate with audiences in China.
