Hege Schøyen
Hege Schøyen, born on May 22, 1957, in Oslo, is a renowned Norwegian actress, comedian, and singer. A graduate of the Norwegian Academy of Music, where she specialized in vocal performance, Schøyen launched her career as a backup singer before making her stage debut in the 1982 production "Med Floss på katta" at the esteemed Chat Noir theatre.
Her significant breakthrough came in 1986 with her captivating monologue, "Stælken Gundersen," performed at the same venue. Over the years, Schøyen has graced the cabaret scene alongside notable talents such as Vazelina Bilopphøggers, Dizzie Tunes, Sven Nordin, Nils Vogt, and Øystein Sunde. She gained widespread recognition in the late 1980s and early 1990s for her role as the quirky, gum-chewing "Bitten" in the popular TV series "Blikkbox," where she featured alongside Øivind Blunck in the character "Reida." This series was later released on CD and video, further solidifying her fame.
In the 1990s, Schøyen also hosted the youth program "Middle of the action." While she often took on supporting roles in film, she led the cast in the 1999 film "Suffløsen." In 2003, she co-starred in the TV show "Hege & Holmen" with Kjersti Holmen, and in 2011, she appeared in the comedy "Sara & Selma" and the musical comedy "Night unmusical queen."
Schøyen is married to jazz musician Arild Andersen, and they share two children, James and Line.
