Mart Toome, an accomplished Estonian actor, was born on March 7, 1980, in Enge, Halinga Parish, Pärnu County. He honed his craft at the EMA Higher Drama School in Tallinn, graduating in 2002 under the mentorship of renowned actor and director Elmo Nüganen. His graduating class included notable talents such as Elisabet Reinsalu, Priit Võigemast, and Hele Kõrve, among others.

Toome made his cinematic debut as Miljan in the 2002 period drama "Nimed marmortahvlil," directed by Nüganen. This film, based on Albert Kivikas's 1936 novel, portrays the experiences of students in Tartu who join the fight during the Estonian War of Independence (1918–1920). His performance marked the beginning of a promising career in the film industry.

In 2005, Toome took on a supporting role in "Stiilipidu," a comedy-drama directed by Peeter Urbla. The film centers around three women, portrayed by Maarja Jakobson, Anne Reemann, and Evelin Võigemast, who, after losing their jobs, venture into the costume rental business.
