Ravshana Kurkova

Ravshana Bahramovna Kurkova, born on August 22, 1980, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is a prominent Uzbek-Russian actress known for her versatility in theater, film, and dubbing, as well as her work as a producer. With a career spanning over two decades, she has appeared in more than thirty films since her debut in 2003.

Raised in a family of actors, Ravshana began her artistic journey in 1992 with a role in the philosophical drama "Kirk Kulok Siri," directed by Rashid Malikov at the Uzbekfilm studio. Her educational path took her to a Tashkent lyceum affiliated with the University of London, where she studied in English. In the late 1990s, she relocated to Moscow and pursued philology at the Moscow State Pedagogical University, where she also honed her acting skills under Tatyana Pyshnova.

Ravshana has made significant contributions to the theatrical scene, starring in the plastic drama "Ungiers" and notable productions like Ivan Vyrypaev's "Unbearably Long Embrace" and "Illusion" at Moscow's Theater Practice. Her partnership with brands such as Intimissimi and Calzedonia from 2014 to 2016 further highlighted her influence in the fashion industry.

In the acclaimed 12-episode series "And We Have in the Yard," she portrayed Mavlyuda, a compelling representation of a migrant mother. Additionally, in 2016, she starred as Masha Troyekurova in the immersive thriller "Black Russian," adapted from Pushkin's "Dubrovsky." Ravshana's personal life includes her first marriage to photographer Semyon Kurkov and a subsequent marriage to actor Artyom Tkachenko from 2004 to 2008.
