Dave Thomas
David "Dave" Thomas, born on May 20, 1949, is a notable Canadian comedian and actor. His early years began in St. Catharines, Ontario, but his family relocated to Durham, North Carolina, where his father, John E. Thomas, pursued a PhD in Philosophy at Duke University. During his formative years, Thomas attended George Watts and Moorehead elementary schools. In 1961, the family moved back to Dundas, Ontario, where he completed his education at Dundas District High School.
Thomas later attended McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where he earned an honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. His contributions to the arts were recognized when he was awarded an honorary doctorate from McMaster University on November 20, 2009. Throughout his career, Thomas has gained fame for his comedic talent and acting skills, becoming a beloved figure in the Canadian entertainment landscape.
