Yuri Morishita
Yuri Morishita, born in Hachiooji, Tokyo, is a multifaceted talent known for her contributions to the entertainment industry. Growing up alongside her two older brothers, Yuri spent her early years in Hachiooji and Saitama Prefecture, influenced by her father’s roots. She completed her education at a Protestant Christian school in Hiroshima, where she graduated after six years. Pursuing her passion for performing arts, she enrolled at Atomi University in Tokyo, where her career in entertainment began to take shape.
In 2003, Yuri embraced the spotlight, entering the world of modeling and becoming a gravure idol and race queen under the pseudonym Akagi Maiko. Initially aspiring to be a stewardess, she eventually joined Nasa Entertainment, where she also worked as a club hostess in Tokyo. Later, she signed with Asche, further expanding her career.
Throughout her journey, Yuri has published several photo books, graced the pages of numerous magazines, and performed on stage, showcasing her versatility and appeal. In June 2017, she married Naoya Murakami and chose to step back from her gravure career shortly afterward. Two years later, they welcomed a daughter into their family.
