Rita Volk
Rita Volk was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and relocated to San Francisco at the age of six. Her journey into the world of entertainment began when a modeling scout noticed her, leading her to audition for commercials. This experience ignited her passion for acting, which would shape her future.
During her high school years, Volk honed her craft by participating in various school productions, using these opportunities to deepen her understanding of film and theater. She often reflects on how these experiences facilitated her and her family's adaptation to American culture and language.
After completing high school, Volk pursued higher education at Duke University, where she earned a degree in psychology with a pre-med focus. Despite her academic commitments, she continued to nurture her acting aspirations by participating in student films and joining Inside Joke, the university’s renowned sketch comedy group.
