Shari Headley

Shari Headley, born on July 15, 1964, is a notable American actress recognized for her extensive work in television. She began her acting career with a guest appearance on The Cosby Show in 1985. However, she gained significant fame for her role as police officer Mimi Reed Frye Williams on the acclaimed soap opera All My Children, where she appeared from May 1991 until April 1994, with brief returns in February 1995 and again from June to October 2005.

In addition to her television success, Headley is widely remembered for her role as Lisa McDowell, the romantic interest of Eddie Murphy in the beloved comedy Coming to America. Her early career included appearances in an episode of Miami Vice in 1984, and she played a model on the Matlock series in 1990, specifically in the episode titled "The Cover Girl." In 1997, she starred in the short-lived FOX drama 413 Hope St. She also made a cameo in Will Smith's "Wild Wild West" music video and appeared in Blackstreet's "Before I Let You Go." In 2004, she portrayed Jacqueline Johnson in Johnson Family Vacation, and from November 2001 to May 2002, she took on the role of Felicia Boudreau on Guiding Light.

Headley was briefly married to rapper and actor Christopher "Play" Martin from May 1993 until their divorce in June 1995. She welcomed her son, Skyler Martin, in April 1994.
