Jonathan Freeman

Jonathan Freeman, born on February 5, 1950, is a versatile American actor, puppeteer, and singer renowned for his iconic voice work as Jafar in Disney's Aladdin franchise. His portrayal of the beloved villain spans across four animated films, eight video games—including the popular Kingdom Hearts series—an animated television series called House of Mouse, and a Broadway musical adaptation in 2011, among various other Aladdin-related projects.

In addition to his work in the Disney universe, Freeman's film career includes roles in notable works such as Forever, Lulu (1987), The Ice Storm (1997), and The High Note (2020).

Freeman's television credits highlight his talent in puppeteering as well; he voiced and performed as Tito Swing on the PBS children's series Shining Time Station from 1989 to 1995. He also had a memorable recurring role as Rollie Pruitt on the AMC series Remember WENN, airing from 1996 to 1998.
