José "Bill" Cuauhtémoc Meléndez (November 15, 1916 – September 2, 2008) was a prominent Mexican-American animator, voice actor, director, and producer whose remarkable contributions to the animation industry spanned over six decades. He gained significant recognition for his work with major studios, including Walt Disney Productions, where he contributed to classic films such as Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, and Bambi. Additionally, he lent his talents to Warner Bros. Cartoons and UPA, but he is perhaps best known for his work on the beloved Peanuts series, where he voiced iconic characters Snoopy and Woodstock.
