Emily Arlook
Emily Taryn Arlook, born on July 24, 1990, is an accomplished American actress recognized for her diverse roles across film and television. She gained widespread acclaim for portraying Nomi Segal in the Freeform comedy-drama series Grown-ish, which aired from 2018 to 2024. This series, a spin-off of the popular sitcom Black-ish, featured Arlook prominently during the first four seasons, referred to as the "Zoey Johnson years," and she made guest appearances in the fifth and sixth seasons.
Arlook's acting journey began in the 1998 mockumentary 20 Dates, where she appeared as a fictionalized version of herself, alongside her sister Rachel and father Richard, both of whom also played fictional versions of themselves.
In 2019, she played Kate Harris in the Hulu coming-of-age film Big Time Adolescence, which starred notable actors such as Pete Davidson and Sydney Sweeney.
