Nao Kosaka
Nao Kosaka is a multi-talented Japanese entertainer known for her roles as a singer, model, and actress, and is a prominent member of the idol group Hinatazaka46. An exclusive model for the fashion magazine Seventeen, her career has seen significant milestones since her debut.
Kosaka's journey began when she successfully auditioned for the Keyakizaka46 subgroup, Hiragana Keyakizaka46, on August 13, 2017, joining as part of the second generation. She debuted with the song "No War in the Future," a B-side from "Kaze ni Fukarete mo." Her runway debut occurred on May 19, 2018, at the GirlsAward 2018 SPRING/SUMMER event, following an announcement from Seventeen, confirming her as one of their exclusive models.
In February 2019, when Hiragana Keyakizaka46 transitioned to Hinatazaka46, Kosaka was honored with the center position for their inaugural single, "Kyun," a role she has consistently maintained in subsequent releases. Her acting career took off with her lead role in the 2019 horror film Japanese Doll of Terror (恐怖人形, Kyōfu Ningyō) and she is set to star in the upcoming film Hinomaru Soul, based on the 1998 Winter Olympics.
On April 2021, she shared plans for her solo photobook, produced by the Seventeen team, which was released on June 29, making her the third member of Hinatazaka46 to achieve this. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Kosaka is passionate about dinosaurs and reptiles and even served as an ambassador for Sony's DinoScience exhibition. A former middle school volleyball player, she occasionally showcases her skills, and has an older brother who is a fan of Keyakizaka46. Her interests also include comedy, with Kazuya Kojima of Unjash and Audrey among her favorite comedians
